His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention, and Her Excellency Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, visited the Sharjah Health Authority, where they were welcomed by His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al Mheiri, Chairman of the Authority, in the presence of Amal Al Qatari Al Suwaidi, Director of the Authority. During the visit, the delegation reviewed key national and local healthcare programs and initiatives, and discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation and coordination between federal and local health authorities to further enhance healthcare services and improve quality of life. Dr. Abdulaziz Al Mheiri highlighted the UAE’s flagship healthcare initiatives, including the Emarat Health Project, launched under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, aimed at enhancing the health and well-being of citizens and residents. The meeting also covered joint initiatives among health authorities, including Sharjah’s Healthy Cities Program and internationally accredited health programs implemented across the emirate. In addition, participants reviewed healthcare initiatives led by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi and explored opportunities to leverage these initiatives at the national level, alongside the Ministry of Health and Prevention’s efforts to strengthen the prevention of chronic diseases and promote a preventive healthcare culture. For her part, Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi presented the Department’s programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing healthy living and promoting healthy lifestyles through the adoption of the latest global scientific and technological advancements, enabling wider implementation across the UAE.
