The Sharjah Health Authority delivered a specialized workshop titled: “Occupational Safety and Health Requirements for Healthcare Facilities.” Presented by: Aisha Ahmed Al Hebsi – Senior Health Regulation Administrator Nasima Ayoub Al Balooshi – Health Regulation Officer The workshop aimed to enhance awareness, improve compliance levels, and empower healthcare professionals to implement best practices, ensuring safe and sustainable work environments.
The Sharjah Health Authority participated, in collaboration with University Hospital Sharjah, in the Health, Safety and Environment Exhibition 2026. This participation aims to raise awareness about the importance of health and safety, highlight joint efforts in supporting healthy and safe environments, as well as exchange expertise and showcase best practices in the healthcare sector. The participation also included healthcare partners who provided free medical check-ups to visitors, supporting early detection and promoting community health.
The Sharjah Health Authority, in collaboration with the Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah, organized a seminar titled “The Importance of Dua in Ramadan,” delivered by Dr. Manea Abdullah Al Nahdi. The initiative aimed to enhance religious awareness and strengthen spiritual values among employees during the holy month.
As part of its awareness initiatives during the holy month, the Sharjah Health Authority organized a workshop titled “A Healthy and Happy Ramadan” for its employees, aiming to enhance health awareness and promote balanced dietary habits during Ramadan. The workshop included an educational session delivered by a specialist on the principles of a healthy lifestyle during Ramadan, in addition to an interactive cooking workshop demonstrating the difference between healthy and unhealthy food choices. It also featured a Ramadan bazaar, allowing employees to explore a variety of products and benefit from special offers.
The Friends of Breastfeeding Association, affiliated with the Sharjah Health Authority, organized a lecture titled “Islamic Rulings on Fasting for Pregnant and Breastfeeding Women” as part of the “Because We Care” program. The lecture was held at Al Rahmaniya Suburb Council in Sharjah, both in person and virtually. The association aims to support families and encourage mothers to practice breastfeeding.
