This service allows the applicant to Renew/Change Owner/Cancel/Upgrade or downgrade/Change Paramedics registering on an ambulance or a medical transportation which belongs to health facility or non-health facility.

Service Summary:

This service enables the applicant to perform one of the following actions for an ambulance or medical transport vehicle affiliated with a healthcare or non-healthcare facility: renew registration, change ownership, cancel registration, upgrade or downgrade the vehicle level, or modify the registered paramedics.

Required Documents:

  • Vehicle license.
  • Sale/transfer contract certified by the competent authorities.
  • Basic Life Support Training Certificate.
  • Advanced Life Support Training Certificate.
  • Pediatric Advance Life Support Training Certificate.
  • Contract of Providing Medical / Nursing Staff (if there is a need to avail a licensed medical / nursing staff from another medical facility).
  • Medical Malpractice Insurance for the Medical Staff.
  • Driver License Copy.
  • Driver First Aid Training Certificate.
  • Supporting Documents (if any).

Conditions & Requirements:

  • The vehicle must be fully and properly equipped with approved medical equipment.
  • The vehicle must belong to a licensed healthcare facility.
  • The vehicle must be specifically designated and physically equipped as an ambulance in accordance with approved technical standards.
  • All devices and equipment inside the vehicle must comply with the Authority’s approved specifications and standards.

Service Process:

  • Log in to the Sharjah Health Authority system.
  • Fill out the online application form for initial approval.
  • Attach the required documents.
  • The application will be reviewed and audited by the Authority.
  • Pay the fees.

Service Output:

  • Issuance of Approval letter to Amend Ambulance registration.

  • Application Fees - 100AED.
  • Registration of Ambulance Car Fee - 150AED.
  • Renew of Ambulance Car Fee - 100AED.
  • Cancel of Ambulance Car Fee - 100AED.
  • Upgrade/Lower Grade Ambulance Car Fee - None.
  • Change EMT's Fee - None.
  • NOC Fees - 150AED.
  • Level 4 Inspection Fees - 200AED.
  • Level 4 Re-Inspection Fees - 100AED.
  • Level 5 Inspection Fees - 250AED.
  • Level 5 Re-Inspection Fees - 125AED.
  • Level 6 Inspection Fees - 300AED.
  • Level 6 Renewal Inspection Fees - 150AED.
    • Note: Inspection fees are restricted to registration of ambulance only.
