Sharjah Health Authority Organizes an Educational Workshop for Children on Global Handwashing Day

In conjunction with Global Handwashing Day, the Sharjah Health Authority organized an educational workshop titled “My Health Begins with My Hands and Teeth” at Al-Bareer and Suhaila Al-Jadeedah nurseries. The workshop aimed to teach children the importance of handwashing and dental hygiene, and to instill personal cleanliness habits from an early age through practical activities and educational games. This initiative comes as part of the Authority’s efforts to promote health awareness during early childhood and to reinforce healthy habits as part of daily life, in line with Sharjah’s goals of supporting a healthy and safe environment for children.

The Sharjah Health Authority, in collaboration with the American Center for Psychiatry and Neurology, organized an awareness workshop titled “Mental Health... Energy of Life” at the Sharjah Family Development Foundation – Central Region Branch, aimed at raising awareness about the importance of mental health and its role in enhancing quality of life. The workshop covered several key topics, including methods of maintaining mental well-being, techniques for positive thinking, and the family’s role in supporting psychological and social stability. The Authority emphasized that such initiatives come as part of its ongoing efforts to foster a culture of holistic health awareness, contributing positively to individual happiness and the well-being of the community. Sharjah Health Authority Organizes “You Are Stronger” Workshop to Promote Women’s Mental and Physical Health

In conjunction with World Mental Health Day, the Sharjah Health Authority organized an awareness workshop titled “You Are Stronger” at the Sharjah Museums Authority headquarters, presented by Ms. Shahad Al Yafie, Director of the Public Health Department. The workshop aimed to promote women’s mental and physical well-being and empower them to achieve balance in their daily lives. Held in an engaging and interactive setting, the session saw active participation from employees through group activities and open discussions that addressed key topics such as healthy nutrition, the importance of regular exercise, and the role of early detection in disease prevention. These activities created a space for dialogue and the exchange of experiences on effective ways to care for both mental and physical health.

Ministry of Health Honors Sharjah Health Authority as One of the “Best Achievers” in the National Hypertension Campaign

As part of the continued success of the campaign, the Ministry of Health and Prevention honored the Sharjah Health Authority in recognition of its outstanding participation in the National Hypertension Campaign, within the Best Achievers category. This recognition highlights the Authority’s active role, in collaboration with University Hospital Sharjah, in promoting health awareness among community members and implementing field programs and screenings that help prevent hypertension and support national goals aimed at building a healthier, more sustainable society with a better quality of life.
