In conjunction with World Hypertension Day, the Sharjah Health Authority building, the Manuscript Monument at House of Wisdom, and University Hospital Sharjah were illuminated in red to convey one clear message: Your health comes first. As part of this occasion, screening and awareness activities continue to promote the importance of early detection, prevention, and building a healthier and more resilient community.
His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Saeed Al Mheiri, Chairman of the Sharjah Health Authority, received a delegation from Life Pharmacy Group, including Mr. Jobilal, Chief Executive Officer; Mr. Adam Nazar, Deputy Chief Executive Officer; and Mr. Sajeev, Public Relations Officer. The meeting discussed opportunities for cooperation and the exchange of expertise to support institutional development and strengthen strategic partnerships between the two parties.
The national hypertension campaign, “Keep Your Blood Pressure Under Control,” was launched at University Hospital Sharjah as its first stop. Blood pressure screenings and health awareness activities were conducted for patients and employees to promote a culture of prevention and early detection. This initiative is part of a series of activities implemented by the Sharjah Health Authority across various entities in the Emirate, aiming to raise health awareness and encourage community members to adopt healthier lifestyles.

The Sharjah Health Authority, in collaboration with the Sharjah Police General Headquarters, organised an awareness lecture titled “Awareness Begins at Home.” The session was delivered by Assistant Officer Yasser Mohammed Al Alay and aimed to enhance family awareness and reinforce positive values within the community.
