Sharjah Health Authority and Sharjah International Airport Organise Health Awareness Campaign for Pilgrims
As part of its efforts to promote health awareness, the Sharjah Health Authority, in collaboration with Sharjah International Airport, organised a health awareness campaign dedicated to pilgrims travelling to perform Hajj. The campaign provided health advice and guidance on disease prevention and the adoption of healthy practices during the Hajj journey, ensuring pilgrims’ safety and helping them enjoy a healthy and safe pilgrimage experience.
In a fun and interactive atmosphere, the Sharjah Health Authority organised the “Health Heroes” event at Al Rahmaniya Nursery, part of Sharjah Nurseries to encourage healthy habits among children through engaging and enjoyable activities. Children learned about healthy eating, the importance of dental hygiene, and physical activity through educational models and interactive movement-based activities.
As part of its efforts to support community and health initiatives and strengthen institutional partnerships, the Sharjah Health Authority, in collaboration with the University Hospital Sharjah, participated in the “Health for All” organised by the Correctional and Rehabilitation Institution and the University of Sharjah. The initiative aimed to provide medical and health awareness services that contribute to improving quality of life and promoting the overall health of inmates.
The activities of the National Hypertension Awareness Campaign and its awareness stations, organised by the Sharjah Health Authority across various entities and institutions, continue with the second station held at the Amiri Guard Headquarters in collaboration with the University Hospital Sharjah and with the participation of several partners and supporting organisations. The initiative aimed to enhance health awareness about the importance of early detection and the prevention of complications associated with high blood pressure. The event included health screenings and consultations, in addition to an awareness workshop delivered by Dr. Ahmouda Ahmed, Consultant in Internal Medicine, on hypertension. The session highlighted the main causes of the condition, methods of prevention, and the importance of adopting healthy lifestyles to maintain overall health and reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
