Kanaf Centre welcomed a delegation from the Sharjah Health Authority, in the presence of Nahla Al Saadi, Deputy Director of Child Safety, Amina Al Rifaee, Director of Kanaf Centre, and Dr. Hessa Al Ghazal, Executive Director of the Sharjah Child Friendly Office, along with representatives from both sides. The visit included a tour of the centre’s facilities to explore the child’s journey and integrated services, as well as discussions on child abuse reporting mechanisms in healthcare settings and opportunities to strengthen collaboration. The visit reflects the importance of inter-agency integration in supporting child protection and ensuring a safe environment for children.
The Sharjah Health Authority received the Cyber Compliance Award during the Cybersecurity Shield Forum organized by the Sharjah Cyber Security Center. The award recognizes the Authority’s efforts, led by its Information Technology Department, in supporting cybersecurity initiatives and contributing to the development of a secure and sustainable digital environment.
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Judicial Council, honored H.E. Dr. Abdulaziz Saeed Al Mheiri, Chairman of the Sharjah Health Authority, during the Partners of Excellence Forum organized by the Judicial Council in Sharjah, in recognition of the Authority’s role as a strategic partner supporting institutional excellence. This recognition reflects the Authority’s contributions to strengthening integration across entities and supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing service quality and efficiency, in line with the emirate’s vision for a more sustainable future.
As part of World Health Day, the Sharjah Health Authority organized an interactive virtual awareness workshop in collaboration with Al Rahmaniya New Nursery. The session aimed to enhance children’s health awareness through simple and engaging methods, focusing on the importance of healthy nutrition and physical activity to instill positive habits from an early age and contribute to building a healthy, aware generation.
As part of World Health Day 2026, and in line with the efforts of the Sharjah Health Authority to promote health awareness, a specialized virtual workshop was delivered to enhance participants’ health knowledge and encourage the adoption of healthy lifestyle practices within the workplace. The session featured high-quality, informative scientific content and was presented by Ms. Afnan bin Yarouf Al Naqbi from the Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics Department at the University of Sharjah.
