Based on Executive Council Resolution No. (11) of 2017, the Sharjah Government Medical Committee was established, with the aim of evaluating sick leaves for employees of local government agencies and taking appropriate decisions in this regard. The Sharjah Health Authority has launched a special electronic program through which all special procedures are taken to approve sick leaves, and a special portal has been added in the year of 2020 to enter chronic disease transactions.
